Philip Kenny is an emerging writer and spoken word poet based in Dublin. Not being able to communicate properly for many years meant he spent much of his youth in speech therapy, reading and improvised performance classes. His work ​relates a lot to constant difficulties he had growing up and provides a window into how he views the world, an intermingling of past, present and future.

Philip’s work was published in 2017 in ​Storytellers Journal Edited by Anna Fox. He has performed at spoken word festivals across Ireland. In 2018 he was commissioned to create work for “Towards the Consideration of all Bodies” series at Lab studio curated by Roisin Hackett. He holds a degree in English Literature and Philosophy from Maynooth University.
